REST IS VIP

Let us look at that word rest. We come in  the word of God. Rest is in grace and we enter grace by faith in Christ and His word. In other words, meditate on the word, your thinking is new and practically keeps any outside influence on your heart at bay. My God says, guard your heart with all diligence. So by meditating on the word daily, you grow and at the same time keep junk away. The microwave age sometimes subtly distract saints from spending time in the word until it prevails.  This is not helped when ministers flaunt the glamour instead letting saints know the process of seeking God and finding His heart instead of always looking for handouts. Thre is time for handouts as baby Christians but God wants all His people to seek him and enter rest. Also when we meditate we are speaking the word as well. Not only that as we speak, the word takes us to His rest and the word will go forth and not return void. So it is not us working the word, eg by much speaking but that the word is already sent by God’s grace and it will accomplish. Reading the word, praying and speaking it day and night etc is our labour. We cease from our works when we hold the word. God uphold all things by His word.  He upholds your peace, protection, prosperity, worship, soul wining, giving, praise, any spiritual or physical things we do etc by His word. All He has said must be so in our lives. Every good thing in Christ Jesus – The Word. He has given us full assurance in His word. Rest in Him

Hebrews 4

   ¹¹Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

   ¹²For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Hebrews 1:3

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high

Isaiah 55:11  

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Hebrews 10:22

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

 What is the gospel of Christ: Simply, it says EVERYONE is heading for HELL or eternal damnation because the first man Adam sinned. So it is not what you did or didn’t do, whether good or bad, but what the devil tricked our first forefather Adam, to do. So your good works including praying, giving, kindness or any other thing, cannot save you even if you have not hurt a fly since you were born!! It does not matter if your parents were Christians, or they have taken you to church when you were small or if you have slept in the church all your life. You can never, ever meet the criteria for the salvation of God in your lifetime apart from Christ. Please let this sink, take a deep breather. After you receive Christ, then your good works begin to count as rewards in heaven not to earn your salvation or favour with God. Christ is our favour, grace and mercy from God!! Everyone will eventually have eternal life after death either in hell or in heaven as destination. So who you give your life to or choose in your lifetime on earth determine where you spend eternity, either in heaven with Christ or in hell with the devil!! After you accept Jesus, how you live your life in commitment to God’s purpose determine how you will spend eternity either with great reward or little reward eg rule over city or cities, or live in a mansion or flat as practical examples. However, whatever the case you will be content with your lot because no covetousness nor envy or discontentment in heaven.

Romans 3:23 

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 5:12 

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Now God Himself provided a way out for man in the person of His Son Jesus Christ. So now EVERYONE who accepts this free gift of Salvation – Jesus is heading for heaven or eternal life. After that your good works like praying, giving, kindness etc begin to count towards a reward in heaven, they do not earn you salvation! Only Christ brings salvation from sin and its consequences.

Romans 5:15

But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Acts 4:12  

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

How can I receive Jesus?

Simple: Just believe in your heart all I have said and all what the bible says about Him being the substitute for your sin and confess with your mouth. Please note that salvation is not simple but Jesus did all the work and paid the price

Say this simply: Father God, I believe in my heart that Jesus is your Son, that He came to earth to die for my sins, and He was buried with my sins and He rose again for my justification and He is coming back for me. I accept Jesus into my heart and to be the Lord of my life. My sins are forgiven, I am cleansed by the blood. Old things are gone, all things are become new. I am now righteous having right standing with you Father. I thank you Father for this privilege. I renounce the devil and all his plans and I receive your plan for my life. I receive your Holy Spirit into my life to help, lead and guide me. Thank you Father, thank you Jesus, thank you Holy Spirit, thank you Father, Spirit, Son.

Romans 10

8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Now that you are saved find a bible believing church to fellowship with other believers and begin to seek God and His will for your life and keep up with Cybergospel. PUT YOUR TRUST IN GOD AND CHRIST ONLY

Trust issue becomes a weapon of the devil to scatter friendship and relationships if not seen with the eyes of the Spirit. God says we should trust Him? Why? He is in control always. When you trust Him and not man, then no man can betray you. God says love one another not trust one another!! This trust issue is one major thing that break relationships, marriages, friendship etc. They say, I can’t trust you anymore, look what he did to me etc. God did not ask us as His children to trust man. Only trust man as unto the Lord. This trust issue can make it difficult to do good if you do not trust. Note that every help or assistant you get is orchestrated by the Lord. David said that God takes his part in them that are good to him. Even when evil men rise against him He looks to God and sees those people treating him badly as sand paper to smoothen the rough edges of his own character. So trust God to send you help and even people you do not know. Sometimes people get offended because they did not get help or something from the people they expected it from. I often wondered why Jesus did not boot out Judas. Jesus loved Judas but did not trust Him. Jesus did not entrust himself to any man, because He knew the hearts of men. As He did not trust man, He did not worry what men or the devil are doing. He majored on God’s plan and what God is doing. So it was not His remit while He lived as a man to judge anyone’s motive or decisions. No wonder David said “my help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth”. Simply put my help is in the Lord who is in control of everything. Also, Jesus knew His purpose with God, to demonstarte the love of God even to death on the cross, let alone Judas misbehaving. That would have been a distraction for Him. If Jesus operated like us today, he would have driven out the only person that would betray Him to do the will of God. Could Jesus have died in many other ways? Of course, but there is God’s predeterminate counsel, the perfect rather than the permissive will of God. We major more in the permissive will of God today because we want what is convenient for us and dribble round the word of God with our senses, analysis, to please men or society. Jesus was focussed and so did not have time for the display of Judas, the pharisees and what man saw him to be. Our God is good and merciful. He wants us to humble ourselves before Him but not before evil. Rather we are to resist evil. Saints have not been taught to deal with confrontations, so once they see anyone they perceive to oppose or contradict them, they try to chase that person from Church in the name of authority. Our Lord did not operate like that. He operated in love and did not drive Judas or Peter because His fight is not with flesh and blood. In the same vein Paul rebuke the spirit of divination and not the young girl who operated by it. Paul confronted Peter and Mark. Peter confronted the authority – should we obey God or man in not preaching the gospel because of men’s opinion. This lack of approach to confrontation can make saints lukewarm in the form of voluntary humility and not confronting when there is evil, or what is not right because they are afraid of shame or humiliation or being labelled rebellious, extreme or being excommunicated. The most wonderful book in the Bible which everyone cherish if you are Christian or become terrified if you are not is the Book of revelation written by John in exile at the Isle of Patmos. We have to do this prayerfully when confrontation arise always bearing in mind that it is not the person but the spirits behind what they are doing. So trust God only, resist evil, let God raise men to help you. He has much people. The very person you may expect is your help can dissappoint at any time just to let you know that in Christ alone we should put our trust.

Psalm 118:7

The LORD taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.

   ³Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.

NOW THAT YOU ARE CHRISTIANS, BORN AGAIN BELIEVERS WHAT NEXT?

Please, no offence. There are Christians and born again Christians. You may have been in Church for years but you have not personally or publicly confess Jesus as your Lord and saviour or received Him as your personal Lord and Saviour, please go to “Do you know Jesus page”. It does not matter the denomination.

When you have received Jesus, what next? This is more than a million dollar question and it is very important and by God’s grace you will find help as you surf Cybergospel! My experience is such that, when we become saved, we are churched until church goes out of us. People warm pews for years. Yes, we do work in various departments or units of the church while we warm the pews and eventually “fight” for the pulpits or some other church positions or chores at church service or even get our own pulpit, but every believer in Christ has a pulpit. So carry your pulpit everywhere!! I will explain this in another subject. The commision Jesus gave seems to be turned inside out. Jesus said – “Go ye into the world…. and preach or teach but it seems like in this age he may have said – “Go ye into the churches and preach or teach …… Most Pastors or ministers will not even let go of members until they pass through lengthy processes and when they eventually leave some pastors will actually curse and refuse to pray for them or bless them.

So why are we in this state of becoming obese with teachings and training and we cannot move anymore because we are so spiritually fat and just warm the pews some more. Please do not be shocked! These are some of the deception or lies of Satan amongst others:

Becoming Freedom Fighters: Gladiators Syndrome

When we are born again, God has a plan for us bigger than ourselves, family, church affiliations and even a nation for some of us. Satan is aware of the purpose of believers but he does not know God’s exact plans and how God will bring it to pass, so he fights blindly and ruthlessly to steal, kill and even destroy. The Scripture call him and his cohorts blinding spirits because he himself is blind. In doing this he causes havocs. He can destroy a whole nation to achieve his purpose eg when Jesus was born. He comes to steal, kill and to destroy. Now when we become born again, Satan piles on the pressure either by our circumstances, sickness, debts, lacks, mistakes, pasts, anything and everything. Sooner or later, he reduces us to our old self which is what Jesus has come to deliver us from in the first place – selfishness. After a while we start fighting defensively for what Satan has stolen, or taken or for our blessing etc. We who are suppose to be on the offensive become defensive as if it is a see-saw game where the devil moves and God defends Himself by us. No! God by His mercies answers those prayers like He did to the children of Israel in the wilderness in answer to their murmurings but He wants His perfect will for us. He answered the Israelites with miracles signs and wonders in the wilderness AFTER DELIVERING THEM from Egypt because of their murmuring, complaining, and whining and even gave them a king when it was not God’s perfect plan. Now this is where also saints have become gullible, even do worse than the biblical Israelites and people make merchandise of them in the name of deliverance, come and get your blessings (the word says we are blessed), bring this amount and get this, fast 10 days and get this, formulae, instructions, 10 steps and 10 ways etc. Giving, fasting and praying are all good but they are not what get us the blessings, they are not a means to an end. They are part of our lifestyle. Everything in Christ is freely given, freely received, rather those things like prayer, fasting, the word, are what God uses to prepare us for His daily plans and His ultimate plans through regular fellowship with Him through Jesus Christ. The bible says God planned for us before the foundation of the world, before the devil ever thought of coming to Eden. It was because he was driven from heaven that is why he came to attack man, the object of God’s love and original intentions. The truth is Jesus was the one who took everything Satan has stolen including the earth. He defeated Satan and took the things for us. He now hold all the keys. Satan had right on earth but Jesus came and took it. He has no right over us. Now our mission is to seek God’s heart from heaven towards earth which UNFOLDS as we fellowship with Him ie what he wants us to do now that we are saved from the devil and delivered us from his power and TRANSLATED into His Kingdom!! We are now under heavens jurisdiction. No eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered the heart of man what God has prepared for us hence we have to seek Him daily or put simply stay close to Him in fellowship daily. Satan tricks us to pray from earthly points and visions and circumstances to heaven. When we pray like that, though we get some results, they distract us from God’s perfect plan. Example is Samson sent to deliver a whole nation but in his affliction and desperado, he lost the bigger picture and reduced a nation to vengeance for his 2 eyes and asked God to help him “only this once” when at that point he knew that even when his situation was hopeless, God will answer his prayers to the letter.   He even said let me die with the Philistines, Oh Glory to God and His Christ. God answered Samson’s prayer to the letter. Can you see that if he prayed differently and remember God’s plan as a judge to a whole nation, well God would have answered him all the same. His enemies would have crumbled while he would still be standing. Sometimes our situation treats us like that but I can tell you that God has bigger plans for you, to reach nations and the world (TGBTG). Note that Samson’s prayer at the end was I, I, me, and my!!

Judges 16

²⁶And Samson said unto the lad that held him by the hand, Suffer me that I may feel the pillars whereupon the house standeth, that I may lean upon them.

²⁷Now the house was full of men and women; and all the lords of the Philistines were there; and there were upon the roof about three thousand men and women that beheld while Samson made sport.

²⁸And Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O Lord God, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.

³⁰And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life.

All Jesus wants us to do is to occupy and  drive out the devil and his cohorts, resist them ie constantly drive them out – not analyse them, or know them intimately. Jesus said, the one to know intimately is Jesus and the Father. That is eternal life. That is what Paul, Moses and great men of God aspired. Many people have written expositions on the devil that by the time you finish reading them, you cannot even see as many words of Christ and His grace. Paul says I preach Christ not myself or the devil. Jesus said I cast out devils by the finger of God! Please do not act like Gladiators, most of them eventually die in battle bloodily without touching any lives but just entertainment and the cheers of the masses such as when we give our so called “testimonies”. Good testimonies are the ones that start and end with God eg I was jobless BUT God helped me and gave me a job – that is grace. That is different from, I did not have a job but I fasted, gave £1000 offering and I got the job and end it with praise God!! That is works meaning your efforts gave you the job. In other words, you earned or deserved it.

Notion Of God As A Problem Solver

As you fellowship with God and begin to know His heart, will and Kingdom all the other earthly stuff will be added. What we have been doing including me is that as soon as we receive Christ, we now poise to use God for our personal needs, solve our problems etc. These become the motivations and indeed fixations for our prayers and again make us gullible to many ministers who may milk the people instead of giving them milk. Some ministers have deliverance ministries. Jesus said you will know the truth and the truth will set you free! He is the truth. Jesus always preached a full holistic gospel and while doing that, things begin to happen. No special healing meetings just preaching and teaching the word. The gospel is the power of God not our doings. Then they become testimonies and most people who think their problems are not solved in the way they want leave church, become object of ridicule sometimes, that they are cursed or they are witches etc contrary to how the Lord sees them. I know Christians who hid their wives after birth because they had caesarian section making it look as though those who has C/S delivery are less spiritual than those who had straight forward delivery. Check the bible, Jesus said we will do the works he did, but Jesus half of the time never allowed people he healed or did miracles for to disclose Him! Amazing! The glory advertised Him, His words spoke for Him. He spoke with authority, not like the scribes. God is not a problem solver, He is a God with plan, purpose and objectivity but as you walk with Christ and He works with you, the problems are automatically solved or rather things begin to line up for you because He is a good God. Some may say where is the evidence when they have not seen physical results just like Thomas. However the Word of God says “FAITH is the SUBSTANCE….. FAITH is the EVIDENCE!!! Blessed are they that have not seen but yet believe!! Be selfless in daily seeking God. No agenda. Forget about yourself and seek Him with all your heart. Do not even lean as much as to you understanding. Cast your cares and take NO thoughts for your life. Why? So you can wholeheartedly seek the Kingdom of God (KOG). Now it is a very hard thing to do nothing, let go and let God because man is built up to be proud about his achievement by strength, knowledge, wisdom, titles, academics or whatever yardstick of success the world has. Please, do not let such yardstick creep into the church or your life but to just give glory to God for them.

1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Matthew 6

²⁵Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

³²(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

³³But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (NOTE: NOT FIGHT FOR IT TO BE ADDED)

³⁴Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

The Notion of a Better Life.

There is also this erroneous notion that God came to make your old life better, so if you did not have a house now you can have a house. However, Jesus came to give us a NEW LIFE! Those in Christ become a species that never existed before, brand new creation. Now due to this notion, Christians try to mix both lives before Christ and after Christ which often creates identity confusion. I tried to understand myself for a while until God delivered me by His truth. I am a new creature, in this world but not of it and this new life unfolds as I fellowship with Him daily. It is like watching a newborn grow and become adult. So from baby new creature, you grow into an adult new creature. The old self is dead and buried and Christ raised us up to be new species. Moreover God’s goodness in Christ is way opposite to the world system as controlled by the spiritual realm. For instance, God says love your enemies – “say what”! Why should I be nice to someone who is nasty to me – because you know not what manner of spirit you are. Straightaway, Jesus takes it beyond your flesh and blood and takes it to your new life by the Holy Spirit. As we walk like that daily, you become like that and before you know it you will be praying that God save the driver who jumped in front of your lane. So instead of praying Lord make me new or better, you can pray that your new life in the Spirit manifest or unfold daily, Help me to walk in the newness of life.(TGBTG). This new life cannot be compared to your old life because there is nothing like it, you have never lived it before!!

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

So rest in Christ’s finished work and relax in His presence as the Holy Spirit helps you live this new life. Have fun in the Lord. Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty. He dwells in us. Glory to God

THE SEED OF THE WORD OF HIS GRACE LIVES ON

We were born of the incorruptible seed of the word of God. God has purposed this blessing ever before we were born. It is not the day we gave our lives to Jesus that God’s plan began but rather He has predestinated us before the world began to be heirs, blessed and highly favoured. Satan did not know the plan even as the angel Lucifer. When he was kicked from heaven and he thought he got God back by afflicting the object of His love, he did not know that God’s original plan will overtake him. He did not know he was chasing shadows because surprisingly as the Lord by grace showed me later, the first Adam was just like a “dummy” for the real second Adam JESUS the SEED!! So this burning desire of God to make man in His own image came to pass in Christ Jesus only! Wow! Glory to God!

Romans 5

   ¹⁴Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, WHO IS THE FIGURE OF HIM THAT WAS TO COME.

SATAN WAS GOOFED AND BECAME A GOOF – Please let Satan and his cohort know this because they did not know. God did not make a mistake.

So as soon as Satan heard the Lord’s proclamation about the seed of the woman bruising his head – JESUS he went into action utilising every tactics that God detest under the earth eg murder, adultery, incest, polygamy, prostitution, sodomy, mass slaughter etc just to kill or corrupt the seed and finally crucifying the seed. All the while he did not know God’s plan. Had he known he would not have crucified Jesus. It is only by the church in this age, ie by us that he will know the hard truth of what he has done. So as we declare God’s word revealed to us, Satan will begin to lose all those he has taken captive all these years either by fear, intimidation, manipulation and deception or any other traps. He is very subtle and most times he operates by doctrinal traps not established on the grace and the finished works of Christ so that saints will not know. The bible says he can deceive even the very elect. However, these truths revealed by the Holy Ghost will be made known to him and he will let people go as the truth sets them free eg making saints fight for their freedom all their lives instead of knowing that they are free, seeking after things the gentile seeks after instead of seeking God daily, boxing us into a corner with circumstances instead of going out there and preaching the word with our lives, mouths and all we have got and fighting all our lives instead entering God’s rest and peace. There are many more tricks of Satan which by God’s grace the truth of Christ will expose him so that blind eyes will be opened, people will be turned  turn to the power of God and not confidence in themselves eg how much they can pray, read or speak the word or praise God. These become works rather than grace. Paul specifically mentioned all that he did but he concluded “Yet not I but the grace of God”. So self has to die daily so the enemy will not capitalise on it. All the things like prayer, praise, reading the word, giving, worship, fasting etc are normal lifestyle of the new creation not a means to an end just like Jesus was always in touch with God. He said he does not do ANYTHING except He sees the Father do it. So he was constantly in touch with heaven. For instance, how can you be a Christian and not pray (put simply, get in touch with your heavenly Dad). It is impossible. Satan ask Job and I believe he still ask in envy today “does Job serve you for nothing, thereby challenging God that it was because of what Job can get from God or what God can do for Job that he serves God fervently. Satan is still asking God today. Does ……… (please put your name) serve God for nothing?, “ Well the answer is NO! Job or I do not serve God for nothing, He is our CREATOR!!! How can we not serve Him? How can we not serve Jesus, the Seed, the King by whom all things including you were made? Even Satan knows that God is good to us and gives us all things to enjoy, but when we face situation, we go into frenzy in the name of bombarding the devil and even some of us ministers have not help this situation. Just like Job, they will question left and right, look for curses etc that the Lord by His previous blood has redeemed us from. Just because someone is going through does not mean they are cursed. They may have been before they accepted Jesus but once they are born of the blood, the curse is broken though Satan can use that as a smoke screen if we are ignorant. The truth you know will set you free. This is one of the hardest truth to digest, hence Paul speaking by the Holy Ghost opened Galatians 3 by saying “O foolish Galatians” Also note that in Galatians 3 vs 12 that you can succeed or prosper and indeed live well by works or law like the Jews do and as it is today in the church but that is not grace. This is also buttressed by Romans 10 vs 5. Let us leave all these behind and really be a people that seek God, His heart and mind for the city, the nation or area that we live in. Let us stop chasing after these mammon that the world seek after eg – fasting 30 days for the house, giving £10 and getting £100, praising God because of circumstances, and afflictions etc. These are things that we should do normally as children of God as we wait on Him. He will either strengthen you to kill the lion like Samson or use the lions as play mates like Daniel. Just because God did for one person one way, he has to do it for another the same way.  Note that Paul says in Romans 10 vs 2 that they do these things with the ZEAL OF GOD!! Obedience is a normal lifestyle of the new creation, the believer. Paul said that even as an as an apostle he received sanctification unto obedience. You cannot obey all the laws of God. Jesus did that for us. We have not earned any blessing by our obedience, it came upon us through the seed, Jesus. We need to be obedient to the Lord so we can walk with Him to fulfil our destiny and call of God. Please tell me, how do we do God’s will without obeying the leading of the Spirit. Please Saints, let us seek God together for our community so we can leave this good boy or girl, or bad boy or girl mentality which is the way the world earn their reward. God specialises in the good, the bad and the “ugly” and loves them equally. It has nothing to do with what you and I did or did not do. It has everything to do with what JESUS accomplished on the cross and by His resurrection. Every other thing must take root in this, so that it becomes our motivation for gratitude to God and gratefully help others even strangers the more.

There is no middle ground. It is either works or GRACE! As a born again child of God, you should strive or labour to enter the rest of Grace.  If you have been living by works, that is the most frustrating thing in a Christian walk because, I can assure you that there will always be problems, situation, circumstances etc that will challenge you. Like the children of Israel, when we moan about one thing, God will show up and then you maon about the next only for you to find out the battles do not seem to end. This is why our good God does not want us chasing or labouring after what the “gentiles” labour for because human wants are insatiable. The good news is that works or the law is to lead us to Christ. When you come to a point like Paul, an apostle of renowned accomplishment realised exasperatedly said “O wretched man that I am!! Who shall save me from this body of death” then you know that you have come fully face to face with the God of all grace. He realised that it is the accomplished work of Christ on the cross and His resurrection has to be exalted above all else, if not you will continue to live in condemnation by every rustling of the devil. This can be internal battles in your mind or can be induced externally by others but if you settle it in your mind that it is not by your strength or doing but what Christ has done, you will find inner peace which the world cannot take away because it is right within your inner man. Like Paul you will spontaneously burst into praise and worship and say “Thank God through Jesus”. So Paul finally found out that only Christ can help this wretced man and deliver him from THIS body of death”. In later Cybergospel newsletter, we will look at the amazing grace of God that based on the complete work of Christ, He does not impute sin to a believer in Christ. The only thing He imputes to your account is righteousness. He can chastise, correct or discipline you but He will only impute righteousness to your account. This helps you to receive and accept your discipline by faith so you can come out greater than pure gold after your faith in Him has been tried. Note faith in Him (God) not faith because of what you can get from Him. What you get from Him will follow so that you can rest in Grace in His love. Grace is very important because it is anchored in His love. You can have faith to move mountain without His love. People who do not even know God, who practice God’s principles unconsciously or by chance for example – giving can prosper and even move mountains or have great success but if it is not rooted in God Himself and the person of Christ, it will be devoid of the true love of God.

THE COST OF FOLLOWING GOD – NOTHING!!

Fear not. It is a vital thing to know what it will cost you to follow Jesus, do the will of God and obey Him. Eventually, you will find out that it costs you nothing but rather, it cost GOD everything. One of the things that can discourage many Christians especially new believers from seeking God and wanting to follow the Lord and do His perfect will is the feeling that it is costing too much to follow God. For instance, when the Lord says have sex only after marriage as an example you may say it is not easy, it is costing you your liberty etc. However, He would have saved you from all the consequences of unwanted pregnancies, venereal disease, promiscuity and attendant problems of substance misuse, later poverty, and much other heartache which you might not envisage at the time of momentary pleasures. Many testimonies of great men of God sometimes may not help this especially those in full time ministries who have “made” it. They say things like, “I was running away from God because I did not want to go into ministry and eventually, I had to give in”. Others may say, “it cost me everything, it will cost you and that they had to leave everything and follow the Lord. Let us get some things straight. The moment you hit this earth, you are eternity miles away from the Lord heading for hell with an “eternal speed” in the short time we spend on earth here even if you were as old as Methuselah. God by Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost using various means including people of God starts to woo you and draw you TO HIMSELF by His love. So you think you came to the Lord by yourself. Far from it. The Lord Jesus said no man can come unto Him except the Father draws him. So from the beginning, you cannot boast because it is only by GRACE and His MERCY and not by yourself. You cannot save yourself, let alone walk the path of Christ or follow Him by your strong will power. So your salvation and coming to ministries is all given by the sovereign mercy of God and it is received. It might not look so to the physical eyes but that is TRUTH.

John 6:44

No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

What actually happened to us with the Salvation of Christ is this. The Lord woos us because of His love to enable us receive His salvation most times by preaching to you the word of faith and sometimes by miraculous interventions. The reason why He does this is that he wants your soul to be saved. After salvation, He has a plan for us which we cannot fulfil with our old mindset, thinking, attitude, character etc. He then leads us in pathway into the plans he had prepared for us. This may be through rough and tough times in order to build your trust in Him, strip you of other sources that you trusted in, remove all the garbage that has been the construct of your inner self, heart and mind, strip you of any earthly glory (fig leaves glory – we will talk about this sometimes on Cybergospel) until you become a new wine skin quickened by the Holy Spirit and filled with new wine and the glory of God. All these are orchestrated by the grace of God to enable us fulfil His heavenly calling. Jesus our prototype example was led by the Spirit into the wilderness immediately after He was filled with the Holy Ghost. Praise God. If it is us in our generation, we would moan, whine and pine – “Lord but you filled me with your Spirit or you appeared to me or I saw vision – why am I going through this. Our God says in His word that even Jesus learnt obedience by the things He suffered. Paul clearly declares after detailing his exploit, zeal, fervency and suffering “I am what I am by the grace of God” and also “I count all things but dung”. God’s way, will, plan purpose and glory outweighs anything the world can afford you. They are nothing compared to the glory that will be revealed in your life when you stick with God in faith. He is the one upholding you and keeping you in His embrace, that is why the devil has lost you completely despite all his schemes to distract you from the purpose of God especially with external pressures of manmade external glory  or goodies. All things were made for His pleasure and those things will eventually follow and you will use them to God’s glory.

Philippians 3:8

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

   ⁹For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

   ¹⁰But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

The next simple truth is that you cannot give anything for your soul – money, time fasting, praying, family, job, career, ministry, status, titles, academics etc. Yes, if you look at it from the world’s perspective, these seems to be costly things to give up, but from Grace level, it is simply pride (you can paint it in whichever way) for us to show how much it cost you, what you gave up for God etc. It is actually boasting without the cross. It can discourage other Christians who may feel below the bar that they have not done such feats and therefore not fit for the Lord’s use.

Matthew 16:26

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?  NOTHING!! GOD WAS THE ONE THAT GAVE HIS ONLY SON

Mark 8:36

For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Luke 9:25

For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?

Looking at these scripture, closely, it reveals that God values your soul more than the whole world!! So if you were the only one on the earth, Jesus would have come to die for you. Many times after the Lord has led us through the wilderness, or rough times or through thick and thin, to prepare us, we come out like king Kong boasting how much we had to give up, the price we paid which are good when put in context of GRACE but soon becomes pride when we now count the works that we did to get us where we are. In other words because we paid the price, we have this and that as though we deserved or earned it. Other Christians will now want to “pay” the same price so they can attain what a great minister has attained rather waiting on the Lord to direct them to His purpose for them. When they don’t get the same results, especially after following the 20 steps to prosper they can get frustrated and even fall away from the Lord or leave the Church. Others will preach the aftermath of the work the Lord has done in them which has brought His glory including the resources, prosperity and other goodness of God rather than directing others to God who delivered them and to seek Him and find God for themselves. So please do not let the exploits of other believers discourage you or let the devil lie to you that you cannot do it because you can’t fast 40 days. Note that Jesus was led of the Spirit, so when the Holy Spirit leads you to do anything, or if you want to do anything in line with the will of God believe that it is not you or by your power but by the Spirit of God and He will enable you. Just because someone fasted 30 days does not mean you should do so. Be in regular fellowship with the Lord and He will lead you in the area of praying and fasting. Indeed, sometimes, the Lord can allow your fasting or prayer or reading the word or singing or giving to be thwarted to see if your trust is in what you do rather than on His mercy and Grace accomplished by Christ so that His power can be manifested in your life. For instance you can experience burn out because, sometimes we feel that we have to externalise our deeds with physical power or what we call “being on fire”. In some colloquial lingo we call it “gym-gym”. However, there are times when the Lord would just want you be quiet, relax your muscles in His presence and say “Be till and know that I am God”. Sometimes He may just want you to shut up and let him speak. God did not speak o Abraham for 25 years but thank God that today, he is speaking expressly by His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit will take of what is of Jesus Christ and make it known unto us.

CONCUSION:

Conclusion is that you should not be afraid, Trust God, Continue in His word, strive to know Him by yourself with what men of God teach you and what He gives to you by revelation. Seek Him daily and diligently and trust Him to lead you. God has never said we should trust in man or princes or high persons but to love them, even strangers. He said trust in me. He will then link you with others and bring people that you do not even know to help you. This trust business which we will discuss later on Cybergospel is one of the major causes of break in relationships including marriages.  “I can’t trust so and so because of what he or she did”. That is why the Lord said not to trust them in the first place because they will disappoint you and will usually live below your high expectation. All your expectation should be from the Lord only but He will set up people to help you even strangers. I believe this is why Jesus was able to live with Judas in spite of the foreknowledge of his betrayal and actual betrayal. You need to seek God because He has a plan for you that plan can only be revealed to you by his Spirit in whatever way He pleases including via the prophetic not get you chasing prophets or visions but to strengthen your faith as you wait on Him. For instance a prophet might have to wait 10 hours on the Lord because he has to hear very clearly before he goes to anyone or the front of the church and declare anything (not talking of prophecy but the prophet’s office) but the Evangelist can just take a couple of words and say “Repent for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand” and people will be under the strong conviction of the Holy Spirit crying their eyeballs out in repentance and likewise the Teacher will go in and out of details checking all the i(s) and dotting all the t(s) to expound the Scripture to your understanding. Also God can cause you to walk in different anointing at different times depending on what He wants you to do. This is why we have to stick with Him in fellowship daily. Jesus said I do nothing but what I see my Father do. He was in very close fellowship with heaven. The prophet might just be so angry with thus saith the Lord and wants everyone to change in one day but the Pastor will patiently take the nurturing words and digest them, regurgitate them and feed them back in a loving and nurturing way to help the sheep.

John 16

   ¹³Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

   ¹⁴He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

HAVE FAITH IN GOD AND HIS CHRIST – BELIEVING IS SEEING

In the world seeing is believing but in the Kingdom of God (KOG) believing is seeing. Indeed in the KOG, those who believe and have not seen are even blessed as Christ said to Thomas after His resurrection. The KOG is about levels of glory and we are transformed from glory to glory. There is a level of glory where you will be tried in such a way that there is nothing tangible in the physical on earth that will justify or vindicate you, not even yourself and your only justification will be your faith in Christ. These are period of wilderness where nothing seems to be happening physically that the eye can see and say you are a child of God. Not that it matters because your faith in Christ’s finished work is the SUBSTANCE, your faith in Christ’s complete work is the EVIDENCE but that is the way the world looks at things and this kind of idea wants to creep into the Church of Christ but by the power of the Spirit and by His grace we will expose this so that we will be set free and released by the TRUTH. People want to see the evidence of God in your life. You want to see the evidence too. Where is your prosperity, why are you sick, where are miracle, signs and wonders if Christ is in your life. Why are things not going well for you, why are you not having a job, a car, a house, money, material things etc. Jesus clearly states that a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possession. All these things including signs, wonders, ministry are not the measure of life or spirituality. This is what makes most Christian discouraged. Like the children of Israel when they left Egypt, any sign of hardship or trial or distress make them to become desperate and make them to pray so much selfish prayers that some even label “dangerous prayers”. Look, calm down. The work is already completed in Christ, it might yet be complete in you. Do not let that make you go into a frenzy trying to perfect or complete in you that is why God said in His word – He who began the good work in you will also complete it. You just let Him do it then chill pill of His word. Sometimes we can practically pray off the very situations that the Lord wants to use to mature us and work His character of patience, love, long suffering, tolerance, joy, peace within you for His greater ETERNAL plans or purpose or glory and He is therefore limited by us from doing His perfect not permissive will in us and we settle for momentary gratification we sometimes label “miracles”. When you have been through the fire, there is another level having been justified by faith that God Himself reveals and this is the period when great things of the KOG begin to manifest for the world to see – wisdom, understanding, love, fruit of the Spirit, Gifts of the Spirit manifested in love (Gifts of the Spirit can be manifested without love hence Paul said follow the most excellent which is love). God displays His might, character, power and strength in your very weakness when you cannot help yourself and when you have come to your own human limit. There is faith that works by love. For instance if you say you have love or forgiveness and there is nothing to try that love, everything is fine, no one steps on your toes, how would you know if you really have the Love of Christ (Agape). This is one of the lessons we can learn from Job, Jesus and even Paul that there is glory to be revealed in everything you go through. Satan will be watching out for an evil outcome. You can’t help that because that is his job, so he is in a way fulfilling his purpose. What you can help is your relationship with God by watching out for what God is doing, casting out the devil (Get thee behind me) and sticking with God because He expects that you will come out of that situation in glory. He causes all things even the ones you call bad to work together for good unlike Satan’s desire. So in the dark hours rely, trust, rest, wait, have faith and believe God and let him work out His eternal plans for you. That eternal plan will usually go beyond your selfish 4 walls and is likely to be things that will set others free, heal broken hearts, give strength to the weary, bring salvation, turn hearts from self, man and Satan to God and His Christ etc. Do not discuss or analyse the matter with the devil. Believe God, seek His counsel, through prayer, the word, men of God etc. Eventually, God will show up and you begin to have the answer of peace especially concerning his eternal plans. Chill out even in the storm, do not lift a finger, rather use the finger of God. Jesus said that he casts out devil by the finger of God, Even Jesus goes to bed in God, so we can go to bed in Christ. Most times we spend our time chasing after the devil and what he is doing, we are looking to generations where the curse came from. Are we saying that the redemption of Christ from the curse is not enough? The Lord may reveal some things but seeking His face is the most important rather than the situation. Remember Abraham, the father of faith wrestled with God so much that the Lord had to help him by giving him a surety through covenant sacrifice and the birds came to eat up the meat that was sacrificed. Abraham like some of us today went to work trying without success to drive away the birds from the cut animals, to protect his blessing so to say or so that the devil will not steal it. O Lord, the blessings are the blessings of the Lord. Satan has no blessing, he may distract you. Even Satan does not give blessing or any good thing to an unbeliever. Satan has no blessing and cannot hold blessing. He may try to prevent the angel bringing the blessing but even at that the Lord will send stronger power. In the new testament, it is too late for the devil because through Christ, we are already blessed. We are no more in the days of Daniel, these are the days of Jesus Christ and of His Spirit who is speaking expressly, we are now to dish out these spiritual blessings to others. All good things come from God. God has to put Abraham to bed from his frenzy “dangerous prayers” because he was exhausted with such futile task of KEEPING FLYING BIRDS AWAY (Are you laughing)!! God gave him a deep sleep so He could speak to him if not there was no way he was going to listen to God while he was frantically busy trying to keep flying birds away. Eventually he learned to trust and praise giving glory to God. He learned that strong faith was not doing stuff but relying on God’s power to perform. So ask the Lord to give you rest in the faith that is in the completed work of Christ and He will give the answer of peace or wisdom or counsel etc. The Lord is raising up a people, a nation that will seek Him diligently and know His eternal purpose in Christ especially in these end times and will not settle for momentary selfish gratification, comfort or fig leaf glory (another topic for the future). They will seek the Lord until they find Him in everything, everywhere and at all times. Amen! TGBTG

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. (NOTE: FOR US. That situation thinks it is having a filled day buffeting you but it does not know and the devil does not know that it is working FOR YOU! The Lord ensuring that it works for you. It is your servant to bring you to Christ’s rest. Amen! Glory! So tell it to start work early)

Romans 8

   ²⁸And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

   ²⁹For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

GRACE FOR HEALING

I empathise with anyone going through some form of affliction of illness, genetic conditions, chronic disease or mental health problems. Most times the devil distracts us or corners us into a position where we begin to doubt God especially His love, faithfulness and salvation. Some of us have been praying, believing God, some for a long time and that can be distressing and indeed very discouraging because we know what the Lord says about our health. Hopefully this truth will set you and I free from the devil’s hold especially that of fear including fear of dying. For those who have been ill for a long time and even seem to be regressing or deteriorating it can be difficult to trust God but be of good cheers because the truth you know will set you free right where you are and help you to focus on the goodness, faithfulness and love of God. It will help you to have strong faith in God right there and by the grace of God your healing will come speedily. It will also help you not to wait for the healing but rather wait on the Lord and seek Him diligently. Note that in every matter and situation whether good or bad, it is the grace to turn from the power of Satan to the power of God and to exalt the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus above all in our thinking and attitude that matters most. Even if you die, die in faith. God will honour that when saints love not their life unto death but love the life of Christ. I say this extreme scenario because people do not want to talk about that but with faith in Christ’s finished work you can talk boldly about death. However, this gospel message is life to those who may be ill or sick in their body right now. Jesus will be exalted and God will be glorified in it by the peace and liberty it will bring to your spirit and soul and eventual wholeness and healing that will follow and confirm His word. When people are chronically, one thought that nag them constantly is the question whether God loves them. The other one is whether they are cursed. Let me quickly discard this curse syndrome which the devil has tried to leaven or infiltrate the church for ages. Any man born into this earth is already under a curse until they come to Christ. The evil that our parents or grandparents did or the incantation from someone in the past all emanate from the same curse and the law of God just exposed it. Now if the Lord Himself has delivered us from the curse, then we do not need to remind Him of them anymore. Moreover if the Lord delivered us from the curse upon our head from His own law, which is the most powerful on earth, how come are we cowering under some curses by a human being or the doing of a mere mortal. We don’t see all this in the New Testament Scriptures. Yes the curse is to generation from the first Adam, so is the blessing and blood of Jesus to generations when we follow the Lord. If we backslide from following the Lord, that is a different story. Let us start with John. I love the King James version but to make this point clear I have used the other Versions

John 11 NIV

 ³So the sisters sent word to Jesus, “Lord, the one you love is sick.”

Note the words “whom You love so well” and “the one you love so very much” then note “IS SICK”

There you are right now receiving God’s love even in your sickness. Know now and be free that just because you are sick at this point in time does not mean that God does not love you or has forsaken you. He never leaves nor forsake so do not let the devil trick you into leaving God in your thoughts and attitude. Do not let sickness, disease or any other situation make you doubt or question, the love, sovereignty, salvation, forgiveness, faithfulness, power, finish works of Christ, anointing, presence, any attribute or anything of God. Right in the midst of it, you still have His love, peace, presence and joy. It is not by feeling or might or power or psyching, it is by faith and by His Spirit. Now see what the Lord said after that.

John 11 AMP

    ⁴When Jesus received the message, He said, This sickness is not to end in death; but [on the contrary] it is to honor God and to promote His glory, that the Son of God may be glorified through (by) it.

John 11 KJV

   ⁴When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

John 11 NIV

 ⁴When he heard this, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.”

John 11 New Living Translation – NLT

   ⁴ But when Jesus heard about it he said, “Lazarus’s sickness will not end in death. No, it happened for the glory of God so that the Son of God will receive glory from this.

Now I have used different translation to drive this home. Note that Jesus said “This sickness”. This means what you are seeing now. To speak the word of the Lord it says This your sickness that is afflicting you now is not unto death – Amen. TGBTG. Say it to yourself, say it to anyone you meet who is chronically that comes to you for prayers. The NLT even makes it clearer so that there is no ambiguity – Lazarus’s sickness so put your name there and says so and so sickness will not end in death. I dare say here that it is not God’s that we should die of sickness and disease though in the book of James it talk about a sickness unto death but God has not given me an understanding of that yet. You may die as everyone if Christ tarries but by God’s grace not by sickness and disease. However, if we die, let us do so in faith knowing that the Lord loved us to the end. He says nothing shall separate us from His love – Amen. We don’t die anyway, we go to sleep as Paul said and He will wake us up at rapture. Note also that God is glorified when we are healed and delivered from death by sickness. David puts it this way, God has not given us over unto death. Death has no power over us. God and His Son Jesus will be glorified and as sons we will be glorified with Him and many sons shall come to glory thereby when they see the works of God.

Psalm 118  

   ¹⁷I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.

   ¹⁸The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.

Matthew 10:1

And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

So what about this monster or giant of generational curses or genetic disease. They too shall be slain and destroyed by the power of the Holy Spirit and the truth in the word of God. We are blessed in Christ Jesus. No man can curse whom the Lord has blessed. When the Lord blesses He will not reverse. When we disobey, we will be disciplined alright but He does not reverse His blessing. If He does, the sun will stop shining, there will be no rain, no stars, and all will be void. He causes His rain to fall on the just and the unjust. There was this man born blind. Just like us today the disciple were trying to analyse, cast blame and dig for generational curses who did right or sinned etc. They tried to implicate the man and his parents but Jesus the author of life, life and the blessing Himself referred them to God. That is what we should do in every situation or questions or trials etc. Refer them to God and the glory and peace of God will reign and you will be at rest even in the midst of the storm. God does not impute sin. That is what Christ came to die for. God imputes righteousness to us in Christ Jesus. He forgives our sins, cleanses us and reckons or adds to our account righteousness. So whatever the situation always run to God, His arm is open wide.

John 9

   ¹And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.

   ²And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

   ³Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

Lastly, some of us do worry so much about what others say about us especially derogatory languages. We are more afraid of this when it concerns our children, but we should go to the Lord and shield ourselves and our children from any word or utterances that is not from God. It is better not to say those words or that people are prevented from speaking words not in line with God’s word but if we look from the Lord’s perspective, people speaking derogatory things about you or your children are the ones that will bear the repercussion if they do not stop. Jesus said that the corrupt words or things they say will defile them. Jesus said that what goes into our mouth does not defile the body but what comes out of our mouths. So watch your tongue. Do not be afraid of any man or go mad about those who speak guile to you or about you. Tell them to stop if they don’t leave them to God but go to God and receive your covering for yourself, children and loved ones or those you know and even the community. You know why? It is because any word that is not according to God’s word or how God sees you does not bear witness or record before God. Only the word of God takes precedence in heaven and on earth. This is a vital truth. The lord also says that He will bless them that bless you and curse them that curse you. Anyone cursing you curses God so leave them to the Lord to deal with and pray for them. Vengeance is mine says God. The most beautiful thing of all is that their negative words or curses do not bear witness either on earth or in heaven – AMAZING GRACE! So go in peace, let them rant and rave. Let that truth set you free. O Praise God, TGBTG, Halleluya.

1 John 5

   ⁵Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

   ⁶This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.

   ⁷For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

   ⁸And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

   ⁹If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
