NO CONTRADICTION, NO CONTROVERSY!

GROW IN GRACE

One of the perennial lies of the devil is that the Bible contradicts itself. It says one thing in one place and in another place it says something else. So let us lay this myth to rest forever. God says the secret things belong to God and the things which are revealed are for us and for our children. People especially Christians have to come to the knowledge of this fundamental truth so they can minister effectively to others and not be confused by questions posed by those who choose not to believe or those who want to enter into debates of which they already have a mind set about. The Scripture is not about interpretation in whatever form whether philosophical, intellectual, psychological or theological dimensions. Indeed Peter declares that the Scripture is not of any PRIVATE INTERPRETATION. It is not by force but by choice. You either believe what God says or you do not. Those who try to contest God think that He can’t do anything because they are still going about their normal lives and do not think that this God is powerful enough to stuff out their breath in a minute. They do not appreciate that the Lord is patient and giving men long rope of mercy so they can repent. In defiance, they debate the Living God, our Father sideways, back and forth.

2 Peter 1

¹⁹We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:

²⁰Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

²¹For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

When you read a couple of verses up, Peter knew what he was talking about. He went through the mill through satanic attacks. He was sifted but He knew that it was the Lord that saved him, not his craftiness or knowledge or expertise in scriptures. Peter says that we saw the Lord face to face. We heard the voice of God from heaven but he cautioned that above all these subjective experiences through trials, thick and thin that there is a more SURE WORD OF PROPHECY. He said take these words of prophecy hook, line and sinker. They are not for debate or analysis according to our subjective knowledge. They are SURE and CERTAIN words. Peter said despite all our private experiences, that we should all take heed to these words and hold them dearly close to our hearts until they begin to shine forth in our lives. You will see in a place that Peter said that only the word endures forever. All other flamboyant earthly glamour or fig leaves glory will cease but he says that the glory of the word will never cease. This is a guy who was sifted as wheat by satan. He would have lost it but for Jesus who prayed for him that his faith would not fail. So he knew what he was talking about.

1 Peter 1

²³Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

²⁴For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

²⁵But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

We do not assess our spirituality by subjective stuff happening around us eg wealth, affluence, possession which many seems to show as evidence of God in their lives these days. God says He causes His rain to shine on the just and the unjust. He is not like man. He loves everyone equally. Some people have a mindset and do not see salvation for a notorious person but think that the softer person seems to be more entitled to be preached to and to be saved because they seem more appealing.

So why do people think that God contradicts Himself in his word? Good question. Let the theologians flex their analytical muscles. The first thing is that God is God all by Himself, whether you think so or not. The other thing is that God loves everyone equally. He is an all inclusive God. He wants everyone saved. So whatever state you are as human being or whatever state you find yourself, God loves you equally as He love the man who goes to church every day. You will find a place in His word for you because of His mercy. So God says He wrote the Scriptures as they are because every living being will be subject to His mercy. No one can boast of any personal attribute why God paid for his Salvation except by His mercy that He sent Jesus to die for all mankind. No one can interpret the Scripture and say it is because, I pray daily or give tithe or I have been good all my life or have kept God’s commandment as it is written in the Bible that I got saved and I am where I am today. The gospel is that everyone was heading for hell but Jesus came to turn everyone from that hell. Some people think that those who are now Christians, who have received Christ are judging them and condemning them. No! That is not the gospel. Some of us Christian do actually fall in that trap. The word of God says that people on earth, everyone is condemned already before Jesus came. Jesus came to reverse that condemnation and going to hell if only you can just accept that simple mercy and receive Jesus as your Lord and saviour. So God concluded everyone no matter who you are under unbelief so He can have mercy upon all by Jesus Christ so that men can be saved. That goes for both Jews and Gentiles. It goes for the Jews who have tried to keep the law of God all their lives and the rest of us Gentiles who are considered as dogs and do not know God at all. Just reverse God and you get dog. It is this mercy of God through his eternal Love that he has come to extend and preach to all by Jesus Christ.

Romans 11

²⁹For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

³⁰For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: (BELIEVERS NOW WERE SOMETIME PAST UNBELIEVERS)

³¹Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

³²For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

³³O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

³⁴For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?

³⁵Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

³⁶For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

So this simple Gospel is to all men – Jews, Gentiles, Muslims, Hindus, Sikh, gays, lesbians, those gripped in any vice, grass root people, divorced, married, double parent, single parent,  those with fathers, the fatherless, widowed, youth, children, adolescent, elderly, the vulnerable etc. God loves them all equally and wants all of them to be saved. So God is not in the business of condemnation, exclusion or damnation now. He is in the business of reconciling the world to Himself. He does not want anyone to perish. Those who are in Christ now should preach the Love of God with this heart of reconciliation to God and His Christ, not you. That way you do not become a stumbling block to salvation for anyone. Just point them to Jesus and let them make an informed choice. He is not counting men’s sin against them. Jesus has been made sin for all men.

1 Timothy 2

¹I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

²For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

³For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

⁴Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

2 Corinthians 5

¹⁷Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

¹⁸And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

¹⁹To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

²⁰Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

²¹For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Halleluya. How can you neglect so great a salvation! If you are not saved, why don’t you receive what Jesus says.

OLD TRICK – IF YOU ARE?

The devil has not changed his tactics. This is what sometimes cage Christians from going out to do God’s will and turn them to freedom fighters always fighting for what is already theirs. Jesus was tempted in the same way, but Jesus already knew who He was because there was a voice from heaven. Imagine the Holy Ghost coming upon Jesus and the first place he goes is the wilderness. The trick of the devil is tricking us sometimes that we begin to say to ourselves (not even the devil) “if I am a child of God, I should not be broke, or suffering, or be in hardship or be cursed etc. Just because you are in hardship does not mean you are cursed. Was Paul cursed in all his sufferings right bang in the middle of the will of God? Paul knew who he was, whose who is and his purpose. Jesus also knew. He knew he is King of kings and Lord of lords and the begotten of God but He knew his purpose. All that did not matter as long as he gets to the cross for you and me despite all the contradiction against Him. Even on the cross (perfect place in the will of God) the devil was still taunting “if you are….. Come down from the cross”. This is a subtle thing that creeps into the church but we will expose it by the Spirit of God. This make children of God to either go into hiding, run away from church or begin to fight for their freedom, their blessings or fight to be free from the curse etc. They do this week in week out etc. Some ministers then make merchandise of them in the name of deliverance, come for your blessings night, or fast 30 days for your breakthrough etc.

You may say but it is working, it is meeting people’s needs. God did many mighty miracles for the Israelites such as we have never heard in our days that even nations heard it and trembled from afar. Most of these miracles were because the people of God murmured, complained, moaned against Moses their deliverer. God answered their prayers to the letter but they continued in bitterness, moaning and complaining because of their circumstances even when they were aware of the cloud and the pillar of fire, GOD leading them every day. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed. If you want to free yourself by fighting, then you will fight all your life. No! Child of God, He has a plan for you. Subtly, it is the same thing we are doing with God today like the Israelites did to Moses but we are not even conscious of this eg Jesus, you saved me from sin, why am I still going through this, why don’t I have a job now. Before I had this and that, now since I have been born again, I am jobless, no money etc and the Lord is saying I AM your everything both great and small, it is just a season which shall come to pass!! If you insist like the children of Israel did, then He will answer you out of His mercy but you will be locked into that mode and majority are in that mode because God will not force you against your will. But if you seek Him at those hard times, He will show you the bigger picture. Jesus told the Israelites, I am your KING, they said NO we want a king like the other nations. We want to be rich like others (God says you are rich), we want to be like the Jones, eating cucumber, onions, Cummins etc. Jesus says I am your food, the bread of life and as you eat of me physical food and your needs will follow. Where you are going, your future has more than that – milk, honey, gold, precious stones and goodies more than your heart can desire – BE PATIENT!!

Check history of great men of God, apart from a few, virtually all of God’s chosen ministers are usually raised in the WILDERNESS or right bang in the ENEMIES CAMP. God says rule thou in the midst of your enemy. Also, He prepares a table before me even in the presence of my enemies – not flesh and blood but contrary spirits and strongholds of the demonic kingdom.   When the devil comes saying “if you are……. you would have bla bla bla dib la!!! He is trying to question your heavenly identity which God has spoken. Just refer him to God like Jesus did. You do not need to prove anything. At the appointed time which is now, the Kingdom Of God will manifest not because you want to prove God or yourself but that God is fulfilling His plan for His kingdom to reign and affect others and you also desire those things to be.  See Matthew 4 verse 4. The word the Lord has spoken is enough, I believe it and it is so – Amen. “If you are …..Don’t discuss or analyse with the devil like Eve. YOU ARE!! No ifs, ands or buts!! I do not have to do anything or cast myself because now by the grace of God I do nothing of myself but Christ in me, he does the work. I do not have to try or tempt Him either, He is God. I am what I am by the Grace of God in Christ Jesus, not going to be or when I have done this and that then I will become. I am – blessed, the righteousness of God, healed, washed in the blood, forgiven, a child of God etc in Christ Jesus now.  He will do it or better still in Christ Jesus He has done it and it will surely manifest – His goodness, glory, blessings and harvest. He has himself commanded the nations, He has signalled them, so praise Him, worship Him. That is the pattern of heaven our home land, it is praise and worship all day – Rev 4:8. We are in this world but not of this world. We are from heaven, so have days of heaven on earth day and night. Be patient during trials and temptation. God will not suffer us to be tempted beyond what we can bear. He said by His grace we are able to bear it. He said those things are common to men. All the things we go through are not strange, they are common to men but God says He is able to succour us.

Matthew 4

¹Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

²And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.

³And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

⁴But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

⁵Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,

⁶And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

⁷Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

⁸Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

⁹And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

¹⁰Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Revelation 4:8-11:

⁸And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, LORD God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

1 Corinthians 10:13

13There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

James 1:12

12Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

DESIRE GOD’S WILL

Most times when we pray, we use rhetoric who speak well and make long prayers. Some pray for the growth of the Church and others but have we stopped to think what the church is all about. I think sometimes we can just pray for numerical growth meanwhile what the Lord wants is to put the few we have to work. We pray church increase but we do not go out there into the community and evangelise. That is exactly what the Lord wants us to do. He wants us to be His witnesses. Our concept of the Church of Christ has to change. We desire growth sometimes just for numbers and even more so that we can say our church has grown and we were 2 and now we have 2000 members. Under so and so leadership, the church grew from this number to so many numbers. Hey! Stop and think. Are you praying for the growth of church just to increase your local congregation or you are really yearning as the Lord is yearning for souls to be saved.

When anyone gives their lives to Christ and is saved, it does not matter where they are, they automatically become a member of the Church of Christ and not just about your denomination or congregation. As people give their lives to Christ, the church is enlarged. We pray for growth, revival and increase everyday in our prayers but thousands are warming pews week in week out waiting for people to come to Church. The Jehovah witnesses are doing what the Church of Christ should be doing – go ye into the world (not the church) and preach. It does not matter if you have 2 members or 40,000. Unleash them into the community. Jehovah witnesses do not mind if you come to their congregation. They do not appeal for money as we do because believe me they are doing what born again believers are supposed to be doing. They go out. Jesus said go after 1 lost sheep and go to seek and save the lost. What is seek – yearn, aim, run after etc. The Jehovah’s Witnesses (JW) do exactly just that. No matter how many times you reject them they keep coming with materials, literature etc most of which they give freely.

This is what the Holy Spirit was saying through Paul when He said God is appealing to men and beseeching them – be reconciled. That is the bottom line. The Lord wants all men to be saved and whatever He does is underpinned by this one motive – to save the lost whether by simple preaching, pouring out His Spirit on many at once or on individuals, revival, miracles, signs, wonders, demonstration of the Spirit etc. God does not just do things so you can show off. He targets the souls at any time. That is why we have started Christ Witnesses to raise a United Kingdom of Christ witnesses. Jesus said that from those being saved, He, not you will build His Church. For instance when people are getting saved everywhere and every time, the local churches will receive and disciple those in their areas and so the Church increases. The bible says the Lord adds to the Church daily. God says the purpose of all our prayers, intercession, supplication and thanksgiving of His people is salvation should be the salvation of others and that they should come to the knowledge of the truth. The rest follows. Come and join us freely so we can take the community together as a church without walls. We do not say you should not go to your “church” but as the Church of Christ go and get fired up in your local church and come out and witness whichever way you can on a regular basis. He came to SEEK and SAVE the lost. Jesus stressed this so much with the parable of the lost sheep and the lost coin. Leave the 99 who feel that they are righteous and doing the right things by God and GO AFTER one lost sheep or coin

Acts 2

⁴⁶And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

⁴⁷Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Luke 15:4-7:

⁴What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

⁵And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing.

⁶And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost.

⁷I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.

⁸Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it?

⁹And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.

¹⁰Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

Luke 19

¹⁰For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

THE MAKING OF A HOUSE OF PRAYER

GROW IN GRACE

Abundance of Grace and Gift of righteousness by Grace be unto you in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Lord has seen me through many trials and troubles in my life but there are key foundations that He gave me during those periods. One is that He loved me and the other is that He has good plans for me. Also that whatever I have in the kingdom is free, so that for me sowing seed of material things and money to get something that God has given me freely does not sound gracious to me. Not that I do not like giving, indeed I am super generous when I am in money and with stuff. What I say here is not to put down any because the Church is of Christ and it is growing from glory to glory. At any level of glory, the Church is perfect.  I like to give freely and not even remember that I have given expecting nothing in return from men rather that my expectation is from the Lord.

Through all my afflictions, trials, troubles etc, the Lord had always drawn me closer and closer to Him, indeed was carrying me in His bosom but causing me to know Him more and more and His Christ. All these have caused me to develop a lifestyle of prayer more because I wanted to experience all that the Lord shows me in His word, every good thing in Christ. Initially when I started praying it was out of concern that I have not made it big like most “successful” men of our generation and more to get things from God or change my situation etc. Later, I discovered that God just wanted my full attention and to be focussed on Him alone, the source of all things. I wanted to attain those things that society use as criteria for success. However, I have come to know that God has a bigger plan and that He has prepared everything for us and these plans unfold as we walk with him especially TRUSTING HIM ONLY. Don’t ever think that it is the time you went into the frenzy we call warfare that made your car or job appear. Far from it. Rather at the appointed time the car or job appeared according to His design and plan. This is because though God allows us to partake of His glory or divine nature, no one can share in the glory because it is the living God that performeth all things for us and through us.

Proverbs 3

⁵Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

⁶In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Psalm 57:2:

²I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.

The Lord began to work on my desires and motives. Now my desires and motivation have changed. I wanted things to work on themselves while I seek the Lord. That is the kind of blue print I have from the word of God. I wanted the rest, easy yoke and light burden of Christ. I did not just want to chase one thing here and there but I wanted it all. I wanted things, stuff, and people to pursue me while I seek the kingdom, have communion with Him and pursue God as the word of God says though He is with us always. I wanted God’s business and let the Lord take on my affairs although He takes care of everything.

Matthew 6

³³But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

³⁴Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Now I know the bigger picture. Now I know that the Lord has been training me and increasing my spiritual muscles in prayer so I can intercede for others, the community, the nations and all people and to make His salvation global not about fighting my corner. He is my corner, the chief cornerstone. Just look at what is happening around us daily and they are even getting worse. If you are a real Christian you know that only the intervention of our heavenly Father can bring any effective and permanent change in the lives and heart of people. You can’t help but leave selfishness and your corner and pray for others and the community around through the love of the Father. By Him all families in heaven and earth are named. God is not pleased when we just fight our corner. When we pray for the community, you and your family are part of that community. When the community is thriving, it will be upon everyone. Thank God for my spiritual fathers, but that is the way I was brought up though I was grounded in the word from the teachings of my spiritual fathers. I was raised up as a freedom fighter always fighting my corner, my family, my house, my car, my job, my career, earthly stuff etc. So we were in our so called warfare fighting and chasing after the things that the Lord said were to be added benefits of seeking and chasing after the Lord and the Kingdom. We were also chasing after miracles that the Lord said were to follow us. Indeed everything was reversed. Any where miracles are happening people will flock there and many become merchandised. I am not sure why that is but God knows. The Lord is taking His church to another level of glory. I know that God is not too pleased when we concentrate on our corners. Christianity is the faith that says categorically ”deny yourself”. When you are in prayer for others in love, there is inexpressible joy which transcends understanding.

Isaiah 56

⁷Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

⁸The Lord GOD, which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.

⁹All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest.

¹⁰His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.

¹¹Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.

I wanted the Lord to save me from selfishness. I want to be a distributor of spiritual wealth in the word and also physical wealth not seeking or chasing wealth. I wanted to finance the gospel eg if a church needs a building to buy it cash for them without looking back and not for recognition. I wanted to be for the body of Christ and the kingdom not just to affiliate with one section or movement or group. I wanted to be a community Pastor. I am the same Sam-Best Ewruje with the same word of God but my mind is renewed now to know I am by Christ Jesus for the community, nations and the whole body of Christ. One may ask, what about my need, my family etc? This is exactly what the Lord is saying, seek me, cast your cares on me, do my business. My business is the earth, the world to know and avail themselves of my Salvation in Christ Jesus. Check the prayers of the apostles. Jesus said we will believe Him through the words of the apostles as it is today.

1 Timothy 2

¹I exhort therefore, that, FIRST OF ALL, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

²For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

³For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

⁴Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

John 17

²⁰Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

The word says that you that is praying or labouring will be the first to benefit from the result. As you work in the temple or house of the Lord He shines on you. Know that if the city where you are is prospering, you, your family, the children and indeed all will enjoy it. If there are surplus jobs in your city, not only will your children take advantage of it but others will come from far places to enjoy it.

I just want what the Lord is doing and what He is doing in Christ Jesus is bigger than you and your family, it is global. So think globally, but act locally as the Lord open doors. When you pray for the unity of the body of Christ, do not forget you are part of the body. That is exactly what intercession is. You number yourself among the people you are praying for. The prayer, which is starting point of all things including Supplication, prayer, intercession and giving of thanks is the reconciling sacrifice and offering between us and God, us and the people and us and us (inner reconciliation). This is the Spirit of reconciliation and this reconciliation of the world is the major ministry of God and His Christ and the Holy Spirit. That men be saved and be healed. Then other things line up with this purpose including resources and provision and people will give willingly without any fund raising tactics but willing and generous donations to the things the Lord is doing.

2 Timothy 2:6:

⁶The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.

Isaiah 53

¹²Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

As we pray the Lord may lay it on men’s heart to sell their houses or give infrastructures and this include the government and unbelievers. This is what happened with the apostles. Men gave substances and even houses. Men will ask to be part of what God is doing. God will advertise Himself that even secular TV will ask to film us for good. Communities will change, crime and unemployment will cease. The place where you are will flourish and become a tourist attraction with booming economy and that place will be automatically visible on the world map. It will be the Lord’s doing. People will prepare meeting for you to come and your diary will be full because you seek my heart, the nation, the people and desire to make My salvation global for the earth is the Lord’s and its fullness. Imagine you are praying for marriages and you are married, you think the Lord will help other marriages and leave yours. Far from it because God is not unrighteous. He will beautify your marriage to be an example for others.

Sometimes the Lord will show you something through affliction so you know the state of things where you are, so in affliction, do not just pray for that need for yourself but for the community eg if you do not have a job, pray against unemployment and ask God to make employment available. He is the maker. Healing glory that will empty hospital will abound such that people will leave the hospital and come to the Great Physician Jesus. Yes, the Lord will give rain and as they say, it will not fall on one man’s house. Instead of praying Lord save my job why don’t you pray that your employer will not go bust? That way you not only keep your job but others will enjoy that privilege with you.

Isaiah 56

¹Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

²Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

⁴For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my Sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;

⁵Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.

Remember, all the hardships and afflictions that has pushed you into a frenzy of constant prayer is the Lord building you up as a house of prayer. You may have thought that this was to enable you get stuff from God by the activation of your faith. Know that the faith you have now is not yours. It is the faith of Christ which is in turn enabled by the faith of the operation of God by the power of resurrection. The bottom line is that we are a house of prayer for all people!! Be that house and fight the good fight of faith. There is good fight of faith and a bad fight of faith. You can have faith that move mountain but the only faith that counts is the faith of Christ that works by Love usually for souls. Be free and be blessed.

THE PROOF OF GOD

GROW IN GRACE

From Sam-Best Ewruje, an able minister of the New Testament, not of man nor by man, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but by the will of God through the Grace and Mercy of Christ given unto me. In part one of proving God we see that God does not need to prove Himself but we shall see what He does in our lives and on earth today. There is none like Him, He is before all. He is above all. However, God has tried to reveal Himself to man in various ways and in diverse manners in the past as He works to reconcile man back to Him, which is His ultimate purpose. This is so that man can know Him, that He exist, that He is our Creator for good not for evil and to fellowship with man eternally. Having tried to do this in many ways, He finally at the appointed time decided to reveal Himself in the flesh in the person of Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God. While God Almighty does not need to prove Himself, He does reveal Himself to man doing things in our lives and on the earth to fulfil His original plan, purpose and objective not for the self aggrandisement of anyone but for His glory alone. He does it so we He can restore that original relationship He so wanted with man in the Garden of Eden. As He does these things we become beneficiaries of these mercies, favours and manifold grace. Ours is simply to be grateful for such mercies and manifold grace lavished on us through Christ. This is necessary so that all can see the great mercy of God in Christ Jesus and receive and accept such mercies so we can be saved from sin and its consequences of hell and eternal damnation. Jesus is the infallible proof of the person of God in the flesh.

Hebrews 1

¹God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

²Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

³Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

Romans 9

¹⁵For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

¹⁶So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

Romans 11:32:

³²For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

The only infallible proof of God is Jesus though He has manifested Himself at various times in diverse ways on the earth. Jesus said no man has seen God the Father except the Son. God revealed the Son and the Son revealed the Father. No man has been given the power to do that. Jesus said the Father reveals the Son and the Son the Father and to whosoever He wills. When Peter knew that Jesus is the Christ the Son of the living God, Jesus told him that flesh and blood has not revealed this to you but the Father in heaven. The manifestation of Jesus in the flesh by a virgin birth is the one sign that God said He will show to Israel.

Hebrews 1

³Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

Isaiah 7:14:

¹⁴Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Matthew 16

¹⁵He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

¹⁶And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

¹⁷And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

¹⁸And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

This old trick of Satan challenging God to prove Himself has crept in to the church and we tell people, God did it for me and He can do it for you. Some parts of science, philosophy, atheism, religion, have tried to prove God or to prove that there is no God for ages. We as Christians have also bought into this by advancing our achievements, successes, fulfilments and progress what we call testimony as proof or evidence of God in our lives eg happy marriage, job, career, big house, children, happy family etc. This makes our gospel to be self obsessed rather than Christ centred. So people go around looking for miracles so they can prove that God is in their lives. Please get the point here. Those things are good and the Lord does them in our lives but that is not the gospel. The Gospel as Paul stated by the Holy Spirit in Romans 10 is CHRIST. The gospel which is the good news is Christ, who he is, what He did, what He is doing and what He will do. The gospel or good news is that Christ died on the cross for our sins, He was buried, He rose the 3rd day and that He is coming back again. In this gospel of Christ we find ourselves and by it we encourage the whole world to be aware and partake of this. It is the same Gospel that saved you and will continue to save you and keep you until Christ comes. Never deviate from it as Paul warned the Galatians who after they received Christ began to follow their works because some men came from Jerusalem trying to prove circumcision, their works and their own righteousness.

1 Corinthians 15

¹Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

²By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

³For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

⁴And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Some people have left fellowship and even stopped following Christ because they ask for something and did not get it or tragedy happened to them when they expected “God’s goodness or intervention”. God is God all the time. He is good all the time. He is good when it seems pleasant and smooth, He is good even in rough and thick. He is good in the valley, He is good on the mountain top. He is good all the time and everywhere. The question is do you believe Him? He does not have to prove Himself. Will you let your circumstances disprove Him. Will you let the burning furnace disprove Him or you will take your stance like Shedrack Mishack and Abednego. He does things in our lives and on the earth because He has plans, purposes and objectives. He does not just do things because He wants to prove Himself, but rather He wants to reveal Himself to us for an eternal relationship through Christ Jesus His Son. He also wants to reveal Himself on earth by His children who are in Christ Jesus not to prove Himself as if in a contest but through His children to restore the earth. God is not for debate or analysis or argument. He is God. He is to be declared, preached and proclaimed. Jesus said we are responsible for what we hear and what we do with what we hear. Every one great or small will appear before God at the end and give account to Him. You don’t need to prove Him. Do not tempt the Lord your God. Then every man will be for Himself. Such proving God gospel has not only turned people to freedom fighters, but has made many to be merchandised. Rather than stand and rest in the victory of Christ, they go on to quote “the battle is the Lord’s” yet taking the battle from the Lord and fighting daily for themselves and their lives. The main thing for every man on earth at judgement before God is this.   Did you hear the gospel or good news of Jesus Christ and the FREE salvation He purchased for us by His blood? If so what did you do with it? God is a just God, that is why Jesus said that the Gospel MUST be preached until everyone on the earth hears it. This is a major key to the end time. Though Jesus gave hints about disasters, wars, famine, earthquakes as sign of the end time, but the ultimate one He homes on is that everyone will have opportunity to hear about Him, the good news, the gospel so there will be no excuse. Yes those things are happening but He says when you see these things, it means the time is short so go out there and preach and preach, then preach to the ends of the earth because the time is short.

Isaiah 49:6:

⁶And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.

So what is my role?

This is good news for you my friend who believe in my Lord Jesus Christ. You can rest on this revelation. So you do not have to argue with any one about what they believe or do not believe. You don’t have to force any one to believe what you believe. Just tell them the Gospel of Christ as you have the opportunity. Let them hear it. God is not to be proved or made to prove Himself but He is to be proclaimed or declared or preached in Christ Jesus. He is to be believed in or trusted in. Trust that He is and that He is good always, He has done all things well and make all things beautiful in its time. He is active on the earth today more than He has ever been trying to save souls from the hold of Satan. He is a Spirit. He does not come by observation to be seen by our five senses. He is doing things daily that we do not acknowledge Him for. Those who want Him must first believe that He is. That is a pre requisite for experiencing God and He will do everything in His power to let you know that He is but you must believe it.

Hebrews 11:6:

⁶But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Hebrews 11 is what is popularly called the hall of fame. However it says that all these people, our fathers, the prophets and all of them who believed did not receive that promise. In other words, they were looking for the time of Jesus. This tells me that Jesus was the undisputable and infallible proof of God. However what we have today in Christ they embraced by faith from far. Christ is now here with us fulfilling His name Emmanuel or Immanuel.

Hebrews 11

¹³These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

¹⁴For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.

¹⁵And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.

¹⁶But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

³⁸(Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.

³⁹And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:

⁴⁰God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

So what is God or Christ for?

Good question. Christ is not a means to an end but He is the end. He is not a way maker, He is the way. The summary is that God has a plan, a purpose, an objective in mind before we were even formed in the womb and that is to bring all things under Christ. So He does some things in our lives and on the earth not to prove Himself but to FULFIL these plans. The major one is salvation so that the totality of what you do as a Christian should be targeted towards this. Not that we should go Bible bashing but that we should walk in and with the Holy Spirit and be conscious of this until God’s purpose is fulfilled and come to light. It is very essential to grasp this. God was not pleased with some of His people in the wilderness when they left Egypt because He said they tempted and provoked Him to perform mighty signs and wonders such as has not been seen on earth today apart from Salvation. Though the Lord performed so many signs and wonders which they even testify of by themselves and to their children, the Lord was not pleased with that generation because they hardened their hearts and tempted God and did not hear His voice. God says this generation that experienced so much power of God did not know Him!!! Wow!! God says this generation tempted Him and provoked Him to do so many unimaginable miracles – parting the red sea, manna, water from the rock, crossing Jordan etc. God used some serious and powerful words to describe this generation that experienced so many miracles. God says that this generation, provoked, PROVED, TEMPTED, grieved Him and harden their hearts to Him because they were incessantly demanding proof of the God who saved them and took them out of Egypt by mighty signs and wonders. He said their hearts were far from Him, probably dwelling more on His performance than knowing Him intimately, that they erred in their hearts and that “they have not known my ways”. Wow! This is serious. In summary our faith is the person of CHRIST or Christ is the basis of our faith. There is no other foundation and nothing to prove. No other ground. All other ground is sinking sand. Rather, kindly believe, receive,  accept God and His Christ and begin to fellowship with Him daily, and walk with Him. As you do this He will begin to fulfil his eternal purpose in you and through you. He will begin to reveal Himself (not prove Himself) and it such revelation of Him that you preach and it will impact or transform the hearers because of the faith of Christ that will come through such preaching or messages. Pleas note again that God Himself (not even the people) confirms and testifies that He did mighty works in that generation that left Egypt and for that generation but He concludes that they did not know Him. Wow!! Enter the rest of Christ. Hold fast only to the confidence and rejoicing and hope in Christ. If some people felt goose pimples or heat in  church today and did not feel the same next service, they automatically believe the presence of God was not in service today. This is because we have tried to box God to particular past experiences and if God does not move that way, then God did not prove Himself. Do you know the deep work the Lord is doing in men’s heart? Just believe that God is at work always and rest, trust and flow with him daily.

Hebrews 3

⁶But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

⁷Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,

⁸Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

⁹When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.

¹⁰Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.

¹¹So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)

So we can see that Christ is the ultimate of God and our faith should be grounded in Him. Indeed while we are the flesh, he is our faith. We live by the faith of the Son of God who gave Himself to substitute for our sinful old nature. We now have the Mind of Christ and we are the body of Christ. Praise God.

THE PROOF OF GOD

Introduction

When you mention the proof of God, theologians and Bible scholars flex their muscles for a long drawn eternal debate and write volumes trying to prove or disprove the existence of God. I have very good news for you so be patient to read and it will set you free for life.  There are some things in life like achievement, success, fulfilment, progress, which we call testimonies or proof of the works of God in our lives which are sometimes tainted by our old mindset of modern world eg happy marriage, job, career, big house, the car, money, children, happy family etc. These are the things we experience in life that we sometimes give as proof of God in our lives. That may be true that the Lord gives these things to us and to even those who do not believe but those are the very things the Lord said are additions to seeking the Kingdom. The old trick that Satan used on Jesus which is to paraphrase “if you are the Son of God, prove yourself” is still the same today. Even ministers try to prove that there is God in their lives and further make their followers to follow suite always trying to prove God in their lives everyday rather than rest by believing Him absolutely and trusting Him.

Matthew 4

¹Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

²And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.

³And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

What about Doubters and Sceptics

This is the truth. When the devil try to tempt the Lord Jesus saying “if you are……..”, Jesus simply referred the devil back to God who said in the first place “you are my beloved Son”. He said man does not LIVE by BREAD alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God!!!!! In other words I live by what God has spoken about me not what I can prove by some show. God does things for His glory and for the salvation of the soul of man rather than any proving game. It is an eternal declaration which cannot be changed not just one momentary gratification of the flesh just to turn stone to bread because of hunger in the flesh let alone as a proof that He is the Son of God. God has said, and it is so. I am not showing that I am the Son of God! No! I AM!!! I am not a wanna be, or going to be, I AM the Son of God. My daddy told me so. I rely, depend, breathe and live in that realisation. I do things in the Kingdom not because I am the Son of God. I do things because that is what my Father wants done, not to prove my self.   Moreover, even many try to hold God responsible especially when there are disasters, or suffering or acts of evil that is beyond human explanation often saying “if there is God why did so and so happen”. In some context, some even refer to disasters as “Acts of God”. There it is. The word “if” shows outright that you do not believe He is. As you will see later, a major pre-requisite to walking with God is that you must believe that He exists. That is one major aspect of faith – Believe whether you see or do not see Him with your natural eyes!! This is exactly what Jesus told the man we call doubting Thomas today! He told Thomas, you believe because you have seen, and He concluded that “BLESSED are they who have not seen but yet believe”. Amazing! So we who believe and did not see Jesus in the flesh like the apostles are more blessed than the apostles who saw Him in the flesh. Trust Him. Jesus knows what He is seeing because He knows that the trich the devil used on Him and on Thomas can be used on anyone.

God does not need to prove Himself. He is God. God says Men already can discern that He exist just from the works of His hands around us and in the heavens. He says though men already know, they have refused to believe, acknowledge or accept Him. They cook up philosophy, psychology, theories, some aspect of science and vain jangling to explain Him away and follow other convenient ways instead of accepting what He, the only true God has done in Christ Jesus for all mankind. Rather, the Lord says people preferred to respect men’s opinion than the Almighty God, so He left them to their own depraved minds.

Romans 1

¹⁶For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

¹⁷For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

¹⁸For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

¹⁹Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

²⁰For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

²¹Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

²²Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

²³And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

²⁴Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

²⁵Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

So you did not need to prove God to any man, not even a Christian. God says all His children will eventually know Him. What we need to do is to seek God together to know Him for personal and corporate relationship and be privileged to be a part of what He is doing in our lives and on earth today Halleluya! Jesus concluded that this is eternal life – that they may know you the only true God and Jesus Christ you have sent.

Hebrews 8

¹⁰For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

¹¹And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.

¹²For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

GOD’S PLAN IN WEIGHT, DIET AND GYM

From Sam-Best Ewruje, an able minister of the New Testament, not of man nor by man, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but by the will of God through the Grace and Mercy of Christ given unto me. To really grasp the issue of food diet and gym from this try read phases 1 to 3.

So now that Jesus has made the perpetual decree how do we deal with the weight diet and gym issues:

ACCEPTANCE OF YOURSELF IN CHRIST:

First accept yourself as you are now and see yourself as God sees you in Christ and His love – fearfully and wonderfully made including all your members. No need to enhance any part of your body. Some of us look down on people doing body jobs to enhance themselves, but you fall into the same condemnation when you do your bits and bobs to shape your body because you think you are too fat, too thin, too tall etc because it is exactly the same motive.

It is only human that do not like the way God created them. The short want to be tall, the big want to be small, the cuddly (what the world call fat) want to be thin. I am yet to see a hippopotamus as fat as they are want to lose weight. Animals just do what they are created to do. It is the domesticated ones we call pets that become obese. I have seen most Jews, it is rare to see a practising Jew that is very obese because I believe their act of praying alone bopping back and forth in prayer can make them lose any fat. When we do things of God actively (eg passionate vibrant praise, passionate boisterous prayer (Jesus in Hebrews 5:7) and eat in moderation, we will be healthy and fit. For instance try active fasting (not this present day cop out psychedelic miss a chocolate or TV modernised fasting) and you will see how wonderful it is. He renews our youth – Ps 103. Godly exercise profiteth unto all things. I am not saying gym is not good but being in the gym with the Holy Ghost in prayer, praise, fasting etc will profit you better the word of God says.  Scripture is not of any private interpretation, I take God’s word as it says, They are his thoughts and the Holy Spirit will get it inside us very well as we meditate on it not to change it or interpret it our own way. It is good to say like Paul – “not I but the Lord” or “not the Lord but me” because once God says it, no more private interpretation or analysis but it is as God said it and the Holy Spirit will give your personal revelation (not interpretation of that word. Some of the things we do like diet and physical exercise are in themselves borne out of fear of dying, fear of weight gain, fear of sickness, but if we focus on loving God, His perfect love will cast out fear of dying because we are in His presence and His love by spiritually exercising daily in God’s gym with the Holy Spirit – Amen!!

SPIRITUAL EXERCISE:

Engage in daily fellowship with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit through the Word and prayers, thanksgiving, Praise etc.  Note that going to gym is not bad but God says spiritual exercise will profit you more when you rather exercise unto Godliness.  Vs 9 below also says worthy of all acceptation. So everyone should accept this scripture as it is hook, line and sinker.

1 Timothy 4

⁷But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.

⁸For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

⁹This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.

SPEAK THE WORD ONLY:

In Mark 7 vs 6-23 note words like all, any and cannot. God has programmed it as default. I choose to believe God’s word, God now commands us to eat everything eatable, nothing to be refused but the key is it must be with thanksgiving in moderation and nothing should overtake us or put us in bondage that we become addicted to it.

Speak – that is how God created and he has not changed, Catholic got it right. “As it was in the beginning so it is now ever shall be …. Gospel is simple. Speak good words only not because you deserve good but because Jesus paid for the good. Speak to your body that you are fearfully and wonderfully made. Speak good about the food you eat and not curse it even before it goes into your body.

⁶That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus

BE MODERATE

Do all things eg eat in moderation

Philippians 4

⁵Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

²²Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?

²³All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

Some may stone me if I say this – Drinking in moderation is not bad – Paul said “take a little wine for thy stomach” (The French do this with their meals) – Don’t think this is ordinary grape juice. There were not many medications in those days and alcohol was used for medicinal value. Might as well tell the French to throw their food out of the window or say that the French will go to hell because they drink wine with their food.

However I am a teetotaller with a difference as I do not also smoke because I respect the temple of God which is my body not because God will condemn me if I drink in moderation

LIVE LONG – SPEAK GOOD THINGS ONLY

See long days. Keep your mouth from speaking guile and speak well of the Lord, yourself and others

Psalm 34

¹¹Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

¹²What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?

¹³Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

¹⁴Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free

BIBLICAL LAWS JESUS SHOWED THE DISCIPLES ABOUT FOOD THAT WILL AMAZE YOU

We will have to go line upon line precept upon precept to get it. This ensued from a scenario when the Pharisees condemned the disciple for eating without washing their hands.

Matthew 15

¹⁰And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:

NOTE: THIS MESSAGE IS FOR PUBLIC CONSUMPTION!!! He spoke to the multitude not disciples or some special groups. He spoke to those who may not be able to afford healthy foods. THIS IS GRACE IN ACTION. GOD is Grace On Duty.

¹¹Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.

¹²Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?

Now, this still happens today to try to dispel the message of the extravagant grace of God. No grace, no salvation. Some today still get offended at the message of GRACE in Christ because they feel it encourages people to do what they like. NO!! It is only grace and not your will power that will help you overcome any vice or sin. Grace also enables you to do God’s will. Not only that, where sin abound, grace much more abound ie Grace will be so much that it will be stronger than any sin or vice when you trust God. Grace is the message that the bible asked us to constantly affirm (Titus 3:1-8) but it is the least preached or taught today but the Church is coming back to basics. Instead, we spend all our time preaching works and legalism eg 10 ways, 13 steps to getting things from God or 14 ways to holiness etc

¹³But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.

¹⁴Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

Note plant not plants. Without grace, most things will be impure, dark and blinding. The gospel without grace  brings legalism. It is either the plant of grace or the plant of works. Now see the perpetual GRACE Jesus laid down about food and drink including poisons. I believe this is why our Lord said if you mistakenly take in poison or any deadly thing, it will not harm you because He made that perpetual spiritual decree that altereth not and cannot fail. We need understanding here.

¹⁵Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable.

¹⁶And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?

¹⁷Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?

Peter as usual wanted to understand better how something can enter the body and not defile it – I don’t know, ask Jesus as Peter did, but I take this word hook, line and sinker! You also just do the same. Vs 17 says WHATSOEVER ………………. is CAST OUT. So every excess food you think you have eaten that will defile your body, make you fat or ugly, Jesus says it is cast out. Have faith and trust Him. If he said it then it is so. That is not to say you should be greedy or over eat, but that grace is there for you to be at peace to eat what our God has created to be eating freely.

¹⁸But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.

Now get the understanding here. Jesus places more emphasis on the words we speak from our mouth than what we eat. It is the words ( I am fat, there is too much fat here, I am short, my breast is not big enough, I am too tall, too fat, too thin etc) that is the major problem. Jesus says such things come from your heart which has not been renewed by the word I AM FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE. If it is not the word of grace, then it is evil thoughts, don’t say them!!! Do not take the thoughts and say them even when outward evidence is contrary!! Whom the Son set free is free indeed – Glory to God!

¹⁹For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

²⁰These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.

WEIGHT, DIET AND GYM – PHASE 2

Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free

You can diet and exercise but I beg you in the mercies of God, do not use it as important doctrinal matter. A Christian who is hungry for God, waiting on the Lord in fasting and prayer will not only renew their strength and reap the benefit of 1 Tim 4:8 but according to Psalm 103, God will renew his or her youth like the eagle. Also, this disciplines the flesh and therefore stops you from indulging in gluttony or letting food dominate you. Note that some illness like Diabetes can cause people to eat much more than they should normally consume. We pray for deliverance and healing from this but do not stand in condemnation if you have diabetes. God will help you. However many times, we try to solve spiritual matters by the flesh. Note from 1 Tim 4:8 says that when you fellowship with the Lord daily, it profit unto ALL things including weight problem which bodily exercise can do little about. Paul knows what he is talking about because in the ancient days of gladiators and strong men, well built muscular and strong men are a relish and they can spend considerable time training to acquire big muscles. However spiritual exercise during the day, wherever you are and whatever you are doing will take care of even your diet and weight issues.

EVERY CREATION OF GOD IS GOOD. Let no man, whatever calibre deceives you. All foods that have been identified are good but you do not have to eat all things. If you feel that you cannot eat something try not using it as a yardstick for all others or go condemning those who eat what you have chosen not to eat. However, eat with thanksgiving to God before and after meal or drinks if you can. I have put 1 Timothy 4:1-8 in KJV, Message and Amplified for people to emphasise and make clear the salient truth about diet and gym. Note that God’s ways in Christ are foolishness to worldly wisdom. To the pure all things are pure. So walk by faith, not by sight. Wait for Phase 3

1 Timothy 4:1-8 - KJV

¹Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

²Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

³Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

⁴For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

⁵For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

⁶If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained.

^{1 -5}The Spirit makes it clear that as time goes on, some are going to give up on the faith and chase after demonic illusions put forth by professional liars. These liars have lied so well and for so long that they’ve lost their capacity for truth. They will tell you not to get married. They’ll tell you not to eat this or that food—perfectly good food God created to be eaten heartily and with thanksgiving by believers who know better!!! Everything God created is good, and to be received with thanks. Nothing is to be sneered at and thrown out. God’s Word and our prayers make every item in creation holy.

^{6 -10}You’ve been raised on the Message of the faith and have followed sound teaching. Now pass on this counsel to the followers of Jesus there, and you’ll be a good servant of Jesus. Stay clear of silly stories that get dressed up as religion. Exercise daily in God—no spiritual flabbiness, please! Workouts in the gymnasium are useful, but a disciplined life in God is far more so, making you fit both today and forever. You can count on this. Take it to heart. This is why we’ve thrown ourselves into this venture so totally. We’re banking on the living God, Savior of all men and women, especially believers.

1 Timothy 4:1-8 - Amplified

¹BUT THE [Holy] Spirit distinctly and expressly declares that in latter times some will turn away from the faith, giving attention to deluding and seducing spirits and doctrines that demons teach,

²Through the hypocrisy and pretensions of liars whose consciences are seared (cauterized),

³Who forbid people to marry and [teach them] to abstain from [certain kinds of] foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and have [an increasingly clear] knowledge of the truth.

⁴For everything God has created is good, and nothing is to be thrown away or refused if it is received with thanksgiving.

⁵For it is hallowed and consecrated by the Word of God and by prayer.

⁶If you lay all these instructions before the brethren, you will be a worthy steward and a good minister of Christ Jesus, ever nourishing your own self on the truths of the faith and of the good [Christian] instruction which you have closely followed.

⁷But refuse and avoid irreverent legends (profane and impure and godless fictions, mere grandmothers’ tales) and silly myths, and express your disapproval of them. Train yourself toward godliness (piety), [keeping yourself spiritually fit].

⁸For physical training is of some value (useful for a little), but godliness (spiritual training) is useful and of value in everything and in every way, for it holds promise for the present life and also for the life which is to come.

⁹This saying is reliable and worthy of complete acceptance by everybody.

Praise God! I am not sure why people will so clearly see a picture from the word of God and choose their own interpretation either because of position or influence or status or whatever their position. The word of God is not for private interpretation and cannot be explained away by philosophy or science or psychology or any such things. Please believe what God says and walk in it.
