SCRIPTURE

Psalm 138 vs. 4-5:
4: All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth.
5: Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD.

WHO WE ARE

The King’s choir is an interdenominational Teesside Gospel Choir and music project which is part of the outreach programme of Grace Covenant Ministries, based in Stockton-on-Tees.

OUR AIMS

  1. To unite all denominations of the Christian faith as the popular song rightly pointed out, in Christ there is no East or West but one great fellowship of love through out the whole wide earth.
  2. To break the cultural, ethnic and other barriers between churches and denominations, especially in the expression of the Christian faith.
  3. We also offer the wider community the opportunity to fellowship with the Christian community.
  4. To conduct teaching and training in the area of worship.

  • We welcome members of any Christian denomination.
  • The general community also welcome.  
  • There is no age limit, but children should preferably be 9 years and above.  Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
  • We also welcome those with learning or physical difficulties but they must be accompanied by appropriate adult or carer.

OBJECTIVES

      1. This choir represents a celebration of Christ, the King of kings, breaking down barriers, so that various groups can come and freely celebrate with those from every denomination.

      2. This will in turn encourage integration, understanding and acceptance among Christians and the general community.

      3. The general community also may not be aware or may find it difficult to understand and accept the style and mode of expression of the Christian faith and this choir will address this.
